Ceramics, Sound Bath and Something About NYC
This week with Sabbath!
I just landed back to Los Angeles from NYC last night and am so looking forward to dropping into some sabbath this weekend.
There’s nothing like coming back, remembering what I love about this southern california city and bringing back some of the magic of NYC with me. I was on the train two days ago, when I got sent a picture of myself on the train. It was my dad’s best friend from childhood: Michael - He said, “Is there any chance you are in New York? Is this you?”
We had only met twice in my life, and my dad passed away two months ago. It feels obvious that my dad, where ever he is, made this glitch in the matrix happen. We met up for a tea the next day, hours before my flight back to Los Angeles. He told me about how much he missed my dad, and I cried, as I do every day with a freedom that only grief can reveal. It makes me want to take every opportunity to spend time making things with friends. That brings us to this weekend. On Sunday, Dajana and Kyna will teach us hand-building ceramics at the loft for the afternoon: functional objects, and I realized I need to make a candle holder to hold the memories of the people I am missing.

We also added another soundbath this WEDNESDAY at 7:30 ! It’s the last one before Mike + I both leave for Europe:
